About the Festival

One of downtown Parkville’s biggest festivals, the annual Parkville Days offers great family entertainment and fun in historic downtown Parkville.

This year’s event offers something for everyone! Browse and enjoy dozens of art, craft, and food and specialty booths. The Evans Midland Empire Carnival is all weekend starting Friday at 6:00 pm. Enjoy inspirational fun and see what people are inventing, creating and making at the 4th annual Makers Expo. There will be great jazz and blues on the main stage Friday night and Saturday starting at 4:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday entertainment will include Wings over Water Missouri Bird Show and High School Band concert immediately following the parade. The downtown shops and restaurants will host their end-of-summer sales and specials Friday and Saturday.

This year’s parade, starting at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 24, promises to be the “best ever.” Leading the parade is the 3rd annual 5K Run by the River, a fundraiser for Christmas on the River.

Admission is free and guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to enjoy a relaxing day at English Landing Park. Everyone is encouraged to use the free parking at Park University and English Landing Centre. Alcohol will be available at the festival; but cannot be taken out of the festival grounds. Outside alcohol will not be allowed into the festival.

If you have not seen TimberRidge Adventure Center yet, now is your chance! During our annual Open House, choose from several activities: canoeing, kayaking,pedal boating, hiking, BB-gun shooting, and archery, Catch & release fishing also available, however participants age 16 and older are required to have Kansas fishing license. (Licenses will not be sold on site.) Cops n’ Bobbers will be on site with poles and bait available for use or you may bring your own. Guided tours of the challenge course will be available. Visit and see all the programs and amenities that TimberRidge has to offer. Experience the Hawk’s Nest Climbing Tower! An open climbing event for interested parties ages 12 and older. Climbers will need to pre-register as space is limited. Climbing participants are required to complete medical and liability releases prior to participating.
