Kansas City Easter Parade

Town Square and the streets of Zona Rosa

In 2006 Zona Rosa reintroduced a local favorite: Kansas City’s own Easter Parade. It was met with such fanfare, that the event has become an annual tradition at Zona Rosa. This free community event features the Easter Bunny, a best dressed contest for the whole family featuring Spring/Easter finery, and lots of fun and entertainment!

Grand Opening: Sea Life On April 6th, enjoy the grand opening of the much-anticipated Sea Life Aquarium! Your family will be transported into an amazing underwater world with up-close views of more than 5,000 sea creatures! Come nose to nose with sharks in the walk-through underwater tunnel, experience the touch pool where you can hold a crab or touch a starfish, participate in educational demonstrations, watch animal feedings and explore this state-of-the-art home for many of the ocean’s most majestic creatures!

Hershey Track & Field Meet

Description JCPRD is a sponsor of this local meet which is designed to encourage athletes to participate in track and field. The top six finishers (ages 9 to 14) in each event can advance to the state meet in Hutchinson on June 22 and 23. There they will compete for the regional and, ultimately, the national meet held annually in Hershey, Penn. Participants can enter a maximum of one track and two field events, or one field and two track events. Ribbons will be mailed to the top six finishers after results have been verified. Six to eight-year olds receive participation ribbons for their events. Our meet will use a drop-in format and is open to boys and girls 6-14 years old who are residents of Kansas. Arbor Day Celebration
