I just signed up to run this 5K in May. Here is more information if you’d like to join me! The registration link is below!

The Liberty Missouri Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will host the second annual Kansas City Missouri Temple Run, a free 5K walk/run and kids’ run for families and individuals, on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. The public is invited to participate. The Temple Run will be a free event benefiting In as much Ministry, a local charity that provides food and other necessities to the less fortunate. Participants are invited, but not required, to donate any of the following items for that purpose: toilet tissue, laundry detergent, dish soap, paper towels, hamburger helper, or the following canned goods: spaghetti sauce, pork & beans, or red beans.

The event will begin and end near the site of the Kansas City Missouri Temple, which is currently nearing completion, at 7001 Searcy Creek Parkway, Kansas City, Missouri. This site is near the intersection of Interstate 435 and Shoal Creek Parkway, and can be seen from Interstate 435.

The free event, open to all ages, will consist of the 5K race beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by a kids run at 11:30 a.m. for ages 5-11. Pre-registration is required for all participants by Tuesday, May 15th. Register online at info. Commemorative T-Shirts may be purchased on the website by May 1st.
